The next generation of talent

What used to be reliable about graduates and early-career professionals isn’t anymore. They arrive without the baselines organizations used to assume, they want different things from work, and the conditions that used to develop them on the job have eroded. Whether an employer competing for talent or an institution preparing people for work, this talk unpacks what has actually changed and what it takes to attract, retain, develop, and engage the next generation. Grounded in original research and an ongoing interview series with the generation entering the workforce.

The multigenerational workforce

Four generations now work side by side, each with a different relationship to institutions, advancement, and trust. The friction is real, and it shows up as communication breakdowns, stalled collaboration, and avoidable turnover. This talk turns intergenerational difference into a working method: how generations communicate, collaborate, and lead together rather than past each other.

The new rules of influence

Influence used to take time. It now happens in moments, in compressed, hybrid, high-stakes conditions where attention is withheld until it’s earned. The old playbook, walk in with permission, authority intact, and a receptive room, no longer holds. This talk is about how leaders read the moment, stay clear under pressure, and earn authority through what they contribute rather than the title on the door.
